The functions of a family, reproduction, education, socialization, economic support, and social support, have gained particular challenges in the new normal era. The psychological researcher also faces challenges. The proper methodological research is necessary to understand Indonesian families. This enthusiasm is in line with the vision of the Faculty of Psychology, Diponegoro University, to become a center for the psychological development of the Indonesian family that is adaptive in Southeast Asia in 2025. Based on that, the psychology faculty held a workshop, “Research Method on Family Realm.”
